Type data: syntype MNHP <F><M>.According to Moure's notes, the type material truly belongs to <I>Andrena</I>. The specimens are certainly mislabeled, since the genus is not known to occur south of Panama in the New World.
Type locality: Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Cruz do Sul (Santa-Cruz).
