Subsequent designation: Zimsen, E. (1964). The type material of J. C. Fabricius. Copenhagen: Munksgaard 656 pp. [415] (Zimsen indicates a lectotype designation by Richards that we were unable to locate) .
Type locality: Switzerland, Copenhagen [also from 'Madeira' in the original description].
