Centris (Poecilocentris) fasciatella
Friese, H. (1900). Monographie der Bienengattung Centris (s. lat.). Ann. K-K. Naturhist. Mus. Wien 15 (3-4): 237-350 [332] (nom. nov. for Centris fasciata Smith, 1854. Proposed by Friese (1900) due to secondary homonymy with Epicharis fasciata Lepeletier & Serville, 1828. Although replaced before 1961, Snelling (1974:29) has argued in favor of reinstating fasciata. This is supported by ICZN Art. 59.3, according to which a secondary homonym replaced before 1961 can be reinstated when the substitute name is not in use and the relevant taxa are no longer considered congeneric) .
