Centris pandora Friese, H. (1900). Monographie der Bienengattung Centris (s. lat.). Ann. K-K. Naturhist. Mus. Wien 15 (3-4): 237-350 [350] (unnecessary nom. nov. for Centris zonata Mocsáry, 1899. Proposed by Friese due to secondary homonymy with Epicharis zonata Smith. According to ICZN Art. 59.3, a secondary homonym replaced before 1961 can be reinstated when the substitute name is not in use and the relevant taxa are no longer considered congeneric) .
