Jörgensen, P. (1912). Revision der Apiden der Provinz Mendoza, Republica Argentina (Hym.). Zool. Jahrb. Abt. Syst. Geogr. Biol. Tiere 32: 89-162 [154] (This name was proposed based on a series of males and females from 'Chacras de Coria und San Ignacio'. Michener & Moure (1956:282) treats the type material in the MLP collection as 'holotype female, allotype male' (information repeated in Urban (1971:324, 349) and corrected to syntypes in Urban (1982:67)). Although this could be treated as a lectotype designation, a valid indication is here attributed to Durante & Díaz (1998:7), since in their work a particular syntype is listed as 'holotype') .
