Type data: holotype ZMB <F> (Nemésio & Rasmussen (2011:31) treat the type specimen as lectotype. Their position is not followed here considering that there is no evidence in the original description that more than one specimen was examined and they have not presented evidence on the contrary (G. A. R. Melo, unpubl.)).
Type locality: Costa Rica, Heredia, Sarapiqui.

Neotropical Region: Colombia (Antioquia, Magdalena), Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Venezuela (Aragua)
