Type data: holotype AMNH <F> worker , paratype AMNH <F> workers , paratype MCZ <F> workers , paratype AMNH <F> workers (paratypes from Guyana, Kartabo, are probably <I>Paratrigona pannosa </I>Moure - see Camargo & Moure: 1994: 48).
Type locality: British Honduras [=Belize], October and December, 1928, C. L. Lundell.
Remarks
Probable junior synonym of Paratrigona opaca (Cockerell) - see Camargo & Moure (1994: 48).
