Type data: holotype MCG <F> worker (according to the Moure's personal notes, there is one specimen from "Mexique" with label of "Type" in MCG).

Remarks

we consider as Trigona fulviventris Guérin the specimens from Mexico to Western Ecuador. There are also undescribed species this group, from South America, besides Trigona guianae Cockerell and Trigona braueri Friese, which were erroneously recorded in the literature as Trigona fulviventris Guérin
