Type data: syntype BMNH 17B 1093 <F> worker (1) , syntype whereabouts unknown <F> workers (9).
Type locality: Brazil [probably from southeastern Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, eastern Minas Gerais].

Remarks

Plebeia mosquito (Smith) is probably from southeastern region of Brazil, however the types was not restudied and its identity remains obscure. Several distinct species have been cited in the literature under the name Plebeia mosquito.

Distribution

Neotropical Region: Brazil (Minas Gerais [Barbacena], Rio de Janeiro [Macaé, Petrópolis, Rio De Janeiro])
