Remarks
This species was placed as a synonym of Anthidium funereum by Gonzalez & Griswold (2013: 302). Judging from the work of Urban (2002: 508) and from the DZUP material, A. garleppi should be treated as a valid species. In addition to the differences in color and length of the pilosity, the males of these two taxa differ in the shape of the tergum 7, as mentioned by Urban (2002).
Distribution
Neotropical Region: Bolivia (La Paz, Potosí), Ecuador (Azuay), Peru (Apurímac, Junín, Lima, Puno)
